What's it all about?... Music. How does it work? Ever wanted to force your musical taste on an unsuspecting public? Here's your chance: At Playlist, we invite music lovers to turn up with their own 15-minute playlists, an iPod or other digital music player, and to sign up to play out; tune in, turn on and drop out those tracks. The best DJs win prizes - or at least endless adulation, though the catch is that volunteer drunken judges decide who the best DJs are, and if you don't cut it - they can hook you off! Why? Music matters, it's the way we use it that is changing. It's not genres that count, it's great tunes; not uniform taste but diversity, art meets individualism. More info Bring your own mixes, bring your own tunes, bring your mash-ups, if you like. If you love music and just want to find a great time you can come too: you don't have to be a judge, or a DJ - you just have to be yourself. We promise sounds, lights, prizes, decent toilets and a well-stocked bar - the Progress Bar. We'll party till late. Is it easy? No way. You have to understand what the audience wants, and be able to move from the track last played by the previous DJ to something that will grab the crowd and get them moving - all in just 15 minutes. See a DJ grapple his fear in Playlist's exclusive interview movie. Convince me It's free, there's prizes, and you're in control. If you would like to meet people who like this idea, come and meet each other here, at London's Playlist club. iMix-iDance-iDJ - iMake the party. Join the mailing list and we will keep you informed
